Stone grey outdoor round dining table and stools in garden

Despite the probably very predictable U-turn done by our British weather just as we hit what is technically ‘summer’, I shall press on regardless in my seasonal search for amazing outdoor furniture and accessories to share with you.  Today’s find – the Petra outdoor furniture collection from OKA Direct – is exceptionally weatherproof, which makes for perfect timing I think.

The Petra Outdoor Furniture Collection

So, how gorgeous are these striking, sculptural shapes?  And the beautifully soft, grey powdered stone finish?  Hence the name, derived from ‘petros’, the Greek for stone or rock.

The Petra outdoor furniture collection offers a choice of either contemporary, geometric shapes or a curvaceous, classical style.  Despite usually leaning heavily towards contemporary design, I’m very taken with the more classical Petra Round Dining Table, above, shown with four of the bobbin-shaped Petra Stools.

They work so well together as a set (soft cushions definitely needed though) or the Petra Stool can be used on its own as an outdoor side table.

This is such a clever collection of outdoor furniture as it’s incredibly versatile, both functionally and aesthetically – the shapes, colour and finish will blend very easily into so many styles of garden or outdoor space.  Not to mention all the pieces being highly practical – as I’m writing this it’s pouring with rain and pretty windy too.  No chance of the Petra collection blowing away like lightweight garden furniture, that’s for sure.

So, what do you think – cubist angles or classical curves?
