Just one very brief piece this week, as we’re taking a break to Italy – to go walking along the Amalfi coast. A visit to this iconic area has featured prominently on my “absolutely must see” list for a long, long time. A stretch of the coastline around Positano has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and I’m hoping it’ll live up to expectations (weather forecast of rain showers and thunderstorms notwithstanding!).
Evocative names like Sorrento, Positano, Ravello and Capri conjure up images of impossibly romantic beauty, glamour, and style – I always associate these places with days gone by, all very “The Talented Mr Ripley”-esque!
Until we return, hopefully with a good haul of colourful beautiful finds from this very lovely part of the world, here’s just a small taste of colour, pattern and design Sorrentine peninsula-style …
