Helium-filled balloons are such fun … especially when they float up and away onto the ceiling and dance there just tantalisingly out of reach. Appropriately and simply named “Balloon”, these lights designed by Barcelona-based studio Crous Calogero for Estiluz capture that magic wonderfully. They’re perfect for a child’s room, and maybe even grown-up spaces too.
With a shiny white lacquer finish, the shade is made of brushed polyethylene – a translucent material that not only perfectly mimics a balloon, but also cunningly hides an energy saving fluorescent bulb. Thes Estiluz Balloon light can be ceiling or wall mounted, and has two light settings; a brighter, general light level, and a more subdued setting that can be used as a night-light to give a comforting glow. In the wall mounted version, the settings are adjusted by pulling the bright red “string” which is also the on-off switch.
