aqua_pinched_ppvvbq201Thes Pinched Collection of glazed porcelain vases and bowls by Kelly Hoppen caught my eye the other day, and I’m rather smitten.  Obviously, anything turquoise-hued is a winner with me, but I also love the fluid, sculptural lines of these gorgeous vessels, along with their satiny glazes and uneven washes of colour.

This is the Aqua Pinched Vase, and at a substantial 52 cm high it’s very much a statement, sculptural piece that would be equally stunning with or without flowers in it.  I love the way they’ve styled it in the top picture, with just a couple of simple branches, allowing the vase to take centre stage.

Grey Pinched Bowl

There are two variations in the collection on the Pinched Bowl, and they couldn’t be more different.  The Grey Pinched Bowl, above, has a matt white exterior shell, with a delicately dappled grey glazed interior, and is quiet, elegant and restrained.

The Orange Pinched Bowl, below, in contrast has a high shine to its burnt orange glaze inside and out and shouts out “Look at me, look at me!”.   This is my perfect shade of orange and it makes me smile every time I look at it.
