This colourful range of basketware has been designed by Donna Wilson for SCP and produced by People of the Sun, a non-profit social enterprise based in Malawi.
There are two designs, Peaks and Blocks; pictured above is the linen basket in Peaks and below the bowl in Blocks.
The handy lidded basket comes in two sizes, and there are also bowls, vessels and placemats to choose from. We love the fusion of the handwoven traditional craft techniques from Malawi with Donna’s trademark contemporary geometric patterns and colours. This is what People of the Sun say about their work:
