These beautiful bottles by American sculptor and glass artist Elizabeth Lyons represent the absolute essence of what colourful beautiful things is about …. a feast of fabulous colour, design and craftsmanship, stunningly photographed.
When I first came across these hand-blown pieces on a favourite design blog of mine, Avocado Sweet, I just couldn’t stop adding them to our Pinterest collection. I was in a total pinning frenzy, like a kid going mad in a sweet shop – they remind me very much of glistening fruit jellies and do look quite good enough to eat.
The largest bottles are up to 2 feet tall, as can be seen from the picture below.
As well as being an award-winning sculptor and designer, whose work has been exhibited in galleries throughout the United States, Elizabeth is the founder and director of More Fire Glass Studio in Rochester, NY. Since 1998 the studio has provided a glass-making facility for artists to produce their work as well as glass education programs for the community.
