Designers Guild is known for it’s bright, fresh colours, with wallpaper and fabrics designs that range from extravagant florals to bold graphics, but always with a contemporary twist.
I’m particularly taken with their Savine range, a modern interpretation of tie dye – but this is definitely more hip than hippie. Colours range from acid brights through soft, feminine shades to understated neutrals, and I love the graphite wallpaper used in the picture above. It’s cool and contemporary, and adds real character and movement to the room without being over-busy.

I’m always playing “fantasy decorating”, where we ditch our white walls for more adventurous paint colours and wallcoverings, and Savine would definitely be on the list.

The moiré embossed wallcovering is available in 12 colourways, and the fine linen fabric comes in 8 shades, with some two-tone combination available in both.
There’s also a range of quilts and cushions in the same fabric. The quilt has the tie-dye effect around the edges rather than over the whole quilt, so the effect isn’t too overwhelming.
There are colourways to suit all seasons; I’m enjoying looking at these bright, rather summery colours today as an antidote to the grey November sky outside, but the neutrals would also be perfect all year round to inject a little sophisticated bohemian glamour into any room
