Sunglasses may not be the most obvious subject for late November, but then again today is gloriously sunny, bright and crisp with the remains of the vibrant autumn colours glowing against the blue sky. And when I go for my walk later around the local park, to get some downtime from the computer screen, I’ll be wearing my sunnies – there’s nothing nicer than being all rugged up and cosy against the cold, and sunglasses on, for an invigorating winter walk. I’ve had a special place in my heart for Ray-Bans since owning my first pair of Wayfarers back in the, ahem, 1980’s. All due to the (then) cult movie The Blues Brothers. So imagine my excitement when I came across The Ray-Ban Remix service, which is available for six of their most popular styles – the iconic Original Wayfarer and the subtly restyled New Wayfarer, both in either matte or gloss, and recently added is the Folding Wayfarer – one of the neatest things I’ve ever seen. Then there’s the classic Aviator, the very cool Justin and the lighter framed Erika. For each model you can select the colours and finishes of the individual components – the frames, temples and lenses, plus optional personalised engraving on the temples (and even the case).
