Spring is here – technically. (Someone please tell the weather). But we’re optimistic souls here in the UK and over the last few weeks I’ve seen more and more of you searching for colourful garden furniture here on the blog.
So I’m very excited to announce a new mini-series focussing on all things outdoor from MADE’s brilliant new garden collection.
There’s so much to choose from, in fact, that I’ll be writing about it in three monthly instalments, starting today with their contemporary, colourful garden furniture.
Gone are the days of uninspiring outdoor furniture, with plain wood or heavy wrought iron the only choices. The recent explosion of chic and colourful garden furniture means it’s now easy to bring your personal style and a serious hit of colour to your outdoors space.
Don’t panic, though, if you’re more monochrome-minded. Black, white and grey are all colours too, and there are some great choices if you want to keep the look more subtle.
Maybe you’re looking for a compact bistro set to fit a small space? Some comfy chairs and a low table for relaxed, outdoor lounging? Or perhaps a garden dining set for al fresco feasts with friends and family?
MADE have got it all (colourfully and beautifully) covered. Come take a look…
Stylish, colourful garden furniture from MADE
The Tice Bistro Set will be equally home on a contemporary urban balcony or leafy garden patio.
Halfway between green and yellow, chartreuse works brilliantly for garden furniture and will give your outdoor space a dose of sophisticated colour.
The comfortable arm chairs are specially designed to tuck neatly under the table when not in use, as you can see below, and it’s also available in grey if you prefer a more understated look.
Designed by James Burgess, the Tega Aperitif Set features a scribble design in powder coated metal that creates an airy, open effect.
The angled seats have a cocoon-like shape and padded cushion for optimum comfort.
If space is really tight, a classic bistro set is usually the answer. The Pya Bistro Set brings it right up to date with its contemporary weave and three bold colourways to choose from.
There’s also the wonderful Pya Garden Rocker in the range – firmly on my garden wish list!
Whoever came up with the idea of garden lounge sets – I salute you. The outdoor equivalent of your living room’s sofa, armchairs and coffee table, what better way to relax outside in comfortable, practical style?
I’m glad to see that the popular Copa Garden Lounge Set is back again this season. Its 2-seater sofa, two armchairs and low table are perfect for entertaining or just relaxing by yourself.
The graphic design in durable, low-maintenance poly rattan is both stylish and practical. And the three colourways let you choose between cool grey, bold multicolour or zesty citrus green.
Rattan is having a bit of a style moment, and the Lyra Collection has some lovely contemporary pieces. Another piece for my wish list is the Lyra Hanging Chair, above. (Can you see a theme emerging?…)
Do you remember I wrote about the resurgence of terrazzo a few weeks back? Well, MADE have introduced the super stylish terrazzo Zac Garden Bistro Table.
A brilliantly versatile small table that would look equally good indoors, I’m desperately searching for somewhere to put it here at CBT HQ. I love it! MADE suggest teaming it with their Tice Garden Dining Chairs in matching grey or bold chartreuse.
Finally, outside dining. Yes, it will actually be warm enough. Eventually. (Have faith, people).
The round Copa Dining Table is perfect for smaller spaces. Add matching Copa Dining chairs (sold separately) for the full cabana look.
For larger spaces, make the absolute most of them with the stylish and versatile Catania Garden Corner Dining Set. Rearrange the corner sofa, dining table, bench and stool to suit your space and number of guests.
Last but not least, the Alif 4 Seater Outdoor Dining Set. I love the warm grey of the acacia wood chair and table legs, teamed with the lighter grey cushions and sleek concrete table top.
So, that’s outdoor colour covered – I hope you found something to brighten your outside space.
(BTW, if your Spring refresh includes indoors too then don’t miss these Clearance/Last Chance to Buy bargains. There are some brilliant buys).
Coming next month – easy pieces for creating a stylish and comfortable outside room.
Posted in collaboration with MADE. All views, as ever, my own.
